This is a rare beauty!
Original 1920's rayon/crepe ribbon work coat. Long straight sleeve design with layers of ribbons to the cuffs, wrap around neckline that forms a tie front with matching ribbon layers to the ends, straight cut body with layers of ribbons from the waist down.
There are no fasteners to the front of the coat but two could easily be added towards the neckline.
The coat is in good condition, it does unfortunately have some flaws. The corners of the neck ties where it meets the collar have unfortunately ripped slightly so will need stitching, it does have some subtle sun bleaching in places so could be worn as is or gently dyed black again ( see photos ) it's had some repairs in the past but these aren't noticeable from the outside as they have been done well.
A great piece of fashion history perfect for any collection.
