Original and documented 1973 Biba metallic jersey cotton dress.
Echoing the classic 1940's look this style dress was a staple in designs throughout the 70s at Biba, with its three quarter length sleeves and ruched cuffs, sweetheart neckline with fitted waist and A-line cut skirt this style is flattering on all bodies. The shoulders are puffed with small pads to give it extra shaping with a zip running down the back of the dress and the original satin Biba label in the neckline.
This has been carefully altered by the previous owner by reducing the bust line with hand stitching to either side seams ( see photos ) this has been done well and the original fabric hasn't been cut so can be put back easily to the original seam line.
A classic and iconic piece of Biba fashion perfect for any collection.
